Universal Orlando Resort has a busy 2012 ahead of them and anyone lucky enough to visit the parks this year will have front row seats to these amazing new attractions. We are joined by Mark Woodbury, the President of Universal Creative and Jim Timon, Senior VP of Entertainment, who give us an idea of what to expect in the coming year.
New Blue Man Group Show
The Blue Man group has wowed guests at Universal Studios for a number of years, with their show that invades the senses with spectacular visuals and toe tapping tunes. Now the entertaining trio have a whole new show for 2012, whilst sticking to the signature Blue Man quirkiness, we can expect a fresh take on the fun and wonder of this fantastic event.
The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman
One of the must-see rides in the Islands of Adventure, this attraction is one of a kind, breaking the mould for all other 3D experiences. Although this ride is a timeless classic already, the chaps over at Universal Studios are giving it a makeover, updating the graphics and detail. It will feel as if Spiderman is right in front of you, dropping you in the action as the superhero battles his enemies in the streets of New York.
Universals Superstar Parade
Universal are unveiling a brand new parade featuring Spongebob Squarepants, Dora and Diego, Despicable Me and Hop. We cant wait to see what this amazing new show will be like and look forward to dancing around with all the characters.
Universals Cinematic Spectacular
Celebrating 100 years of Cinematic history, Universal will be putting on a jaw dropping light show with massive water fountains which surround the parks. Youll be able to see the silver screen classics which have graced our movie theatres over the past hundred years on huge screens, set to music and lighting. This should be a great finish to any fun-filled day at the park.
Despicable Me – Minion Mayhem
We were excited about this new attraction when we announced it on our blog back in September 2011, so this latest announcement has got us on the edge of our seats! Minion Mayhem will be the Despicable Me inspired ride which transforms guests into Grus very own minion army. Of course, we can expect chaos andwell, mayhem, as things wont go exactly to plan.
