- Traffic in Orlando can be busy at times.
- Toll Roads – Have change handy as you may cross a few Toll roads.
- Plan your journey before you set out – get as many maps as you can.
- Petrol prices are low – You can make long journeys and be surprised at how little you have spent.
Simple Driving Tips...
- Drive on the right!
- Carry your driving license in case you are stopped.
- On single lane roads - if a yellow school bus is stationary with flashing reds lights traffic will stop on both sides of the road until the bus continues its journey.
- Overtaking can be carried out on both sides - check your mirrors regularly.
- Speed limits are usually lower than in the UK and should be obeyed, fines are heavy and always enforced.
- Name of the road you are crossing is displayed on wires hanging overhead (i.e. not the road you are travelling on).
- You can make a right turn when traffic lights are red, but only if you have stopped completely to check no oncoming traffic.
