FloridaTix in Orlando: Part 6 – Jurassic Park

As we step out of Hogsmeade we venture into Jurassic Park at the Islands of Adventure, a prehistoric land inspired by the movies, filled with excitement and wonder. As you enter the park through a huge gate keep your eye out for a T-Rex about to come out of the undergrowth!

The visitor centre in the middle of the park is dedicated to teaching youngsters about dinosaurs and the process of bringing them back to life. It’s a fully operational facility with scientists looking after raptor eggs, shops selling dinosaur goodies and restaurants. We even had the chance to witness a raptor egg hatching!

Finally, we took a trip on the River Adventure to see some of the friendlier dinosaurs up close. Things took a turn for the worst however when we were taken off course into the raptor pen where they had escaped! If things couldn’t get any worse, we came face to face with a huge T-rex before plunging 85ft followed by a huge splash. This is one ride where you won’t stay dry for long!
