Universal Orlando Resort has been expanding continuously since it opened in 1990 with Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure as its main attractions. Today we take a tour of Universal Studios with some photos of the rides, characters and attractions.

The Revenge of the Mummy

The revenge of the Mummy ride has replaced Kongfrontation but if you keep your eyes peeled, you might still be able to find a few homages to it. Be prepared to escape the wrath of the evil Mummy however, as it chases you thorugh the museum, inspired by the motion picture.

Disaster!

The Disaster experience makes the audience a part of the movies with Christopher Walken directing the action as you witness an earthquake simulation. It's just like being on a movie set. Be prepared to take part!

The Horror Makeup Show

The Horror Makeup Show is a hilarious experience that looks at the methods of gory effects used in the movies. You’ll be crying with laughter at the end of this! This is another attraction where the audience can take part.

Jaws!

We mentioned on our blog a few days ago that Jaws would be closing after 20 years of scaring guests. We’ll certainly miss this classic attraction, but at least we managed to get some good snaps one last time.

The Simpsons Ride

Simpsons fans will love this attraction as you adventure with Bart, Lisa, Marge and Homer as they try to escape the evil Sideshow Bob. As a motion simulator, it does a fantastic job of making you feel part of the Simpsons World.

Universal Studios is a fantastic day out and there is loads more to see. 2012 is set to be another big year and we can’t wait to see what’s in store…and hopefully we can get some more pics of this amazing park!
