Ride America’s Largest Hot Air Balloon in Orlando

Orlando Balloon Rides have recently launched a new balloon at their site close to Walt Disney World. But this isn’t just any hot air balloon; at 112 feet high and 90 feet wide, it’s officially the biggest in America.

The brand new balloon was launched in December 2011, taking competition winners and military veterans on a magical trip across the Central Florida skies. Filled with nearly half a million cubic feet of hot air, this new balloon is 4 – 5 times the size of a standard hot air balloon and has a holding capacity of 24 passengers compared with the usual 4.

Orlando Balloon Rides also have a number of slightly smaller 16-passenger balloons, as well as one of the world’s smallest hot air balloons, nicknamed “Smiley”.
